Signal21 documentation

Signal21 is the leading data and visualization platform for the Bitcoin and the Stacks blockchains.

Signal21

Signal21 is the premier data and visualization platform for the Stacks blockchain. The platform sources data directly from nodes into a PostgreSQL database, preprocesses it, and makes it accessible through various chart tools. This documentation aims to guide users in addressing common queries such as:

Signal21 utilizes two separate backends to manage its data: Stacks and Bitcoin. The Stacks backend is supported by PostgreSQL and operates off the Stacks API node, providing users access to the comprehensive range of standard Stacks data. In contrast, the Bitcoin backend is driven by Clickhouse, with data sourced directly from Bitcoin nodes. These backends are characterized by unique tables and data structures, and they each support different query languages and functions.

To start using the platform, customers are encouraged to first replicate an existing dashboard query. This can be accomplished by clicking on the information icon located in the top left corner of each dashboard chart. There are options for copying and running the query in the new editor window. This process allows users to familiarize themselves with the structure and function of typical queries while adapting them to their own analytical needs.
